Subzero temperatures are great for staying inside, but I can only take so many days of sitting indoors before I create a reason to dash outside. What better reason than to blow bubbles?
What You Need:
Cup
Large straw
OR bubble wand
1 cup water (slightly warm to dissolve other ingredients)
4 teaspoons corn syrup
4 teaspoons dish soap
2 tablespoons sugar
Directions
Step 1
Mix together all the ingredients in a small bowl.
Step 2
Chill for 35 minutes in the freezer. This helps the bubbles freeze faster.
Step 3
Find a protected spot out of the wind and blow the bubbles toward a cold, rough surface.
Most bubbles will pop before they have a chance to freeze. But don’t give up because one of them is sure to stick. Check out my frozen bubbles! Note: You’ll have better success if the temperatures are below -15F, but I did mine at 5F and they worked.
Did you capture some nice frozen bubble pictures or video? Share with us on my Tamawi Facebook page or on Instagram with #Tamawi.
Wow! How cool is that! I want to try this.
It’s fun! Hopefully you’ll have a chance.
It was so fun. Hope you guys like it.
Great! With the colder weather this week, now’s our chance to make frozen bubbles.
