Whether you’ve made a fortune teller before or not, I bet you don’t know how many squares were hidden in the fold lines.
What You Need:
- A square piece of paper or origami paper
Directions
Step 1
Fold the paper in half, and then unfold.
Step 2
Fold the paper in half in the other direction, and then unfold.
Step 3
Fold each of the four corners into the center, using the half-page folds as guidelines.
Step 4
Flip the square over.
Step 5
Fold each of the four corners into the center, lining up the corner-point with where the fold lines are in the center of the square.
Step 6
Insert your finger under the triangular flap and separate the two side of each of the quadrants. Your fortune teller is complete!
Step 7
Unfold the entire paper and lay it out flat. How many different squares can you find hidden in the crease pattern?
